Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg marries sweetheart
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status to "married" on Saturday.
Zuckerberg
and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his
Palo Alto, Calif., home, capping a busy week for the couple, according
to a guest authorized to speak for the couple. The person spoke only on
the condition of anonymity.
Zuckerberg
took his company public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings
in Wall Street history Friday. And Chan graduated from medical school at
the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day
Zuckerberg turned 28, the person said.
The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years, the person said.
Zuckerberg designed the ring featuring "a very simple ruby," according to the person.
The
ceremony took place in Zuckerberg's backyard before fewer than 100
guests, including Facebook's chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg.

The new mom and her fiance, Eric Johnson, welcomed Maxwell into the world on Tuesday morning. Announcing the birth on her website,
the singer and designer wrote, "Eric and I are elated to announce the
birth of our baby Maxwell Drew Johnson 9 pounds, 13 ounces, 21 3/4."
Both
the Johnson and Simpson family names are carried on with the couple's
new daughter. Maxwell is Eric's middle name and his grandmother's
surname. Maxwell takes her middle name from maternal grandmother Tina
Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.
Adele overtakes sales of Thriller in UK album list
Adele's second album 21 has overtaken Michael Jackson's Thriller in the list of best-selling UK albums.
It has sold 4,274,300 copies in the UK, 500 more than Jackson's 1982 classic.Figures show 21 has been selling an average of 20,000 copies per week over the last four weeks.
"To add to her many landmark records, Adele's achievement in overtaking Thriller in the all-time sales list is truly remarkable," said Martin Talbot from the Official Charts Company.
"Thriller has long been recognised as one of the most iconic albums of all-time.
"There is now no doubt that 21 can be spoken of in the same breath."
In the 15 months since Adele's second album was released, it has spent 65 non-consecutive weeks on the Official Albums Chart.
It has outsold Amy Winehouse's Back To Black to become the biggest selling album of the 21st Century and has overtaken the sales of albums like Michael Jackson's Bad, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon and Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms in the UK.
The 23-year-old has also won six Grammy Awards and two Brits.
